I have been teaching for over 22 years in all kinds of different settings. After receiving a bachelor and master’s degree in Chemistry, I decided that a life of research just wasn’t for me. While I was in graduate school I had 3 responsibilities; doing research, going to class, and teaching labs. Doing research was really tough for me, going to class was OK, but what I really loved was teaching the labs. I remember thinking I was strange because all my friends loved research and hated teaching. That was the first time I realized that it might be time for a career change.
Since then I’ve been teaching in one capacity or another. I’ve taught at universities, community colleges, elementary schools, and middle schools. I even home schooled my children for 3 years while they were in grades 3-8. In my early career I also wrote a book on effective training techniques.
As my children grew, my focus changed from teaching students to teaching teachers. I wanted to share all my time saving tips and differentiated math resources with others so they could save valuable time in their classrooms. I started with classroom organization resources then moved to differentiated math resources for grades 4-6. My favorite resources are differentiated math worksheets, task cards, games similar to Jeopardy and digital task cards on the BOOM Learning website. I’m currently creating videos for other teachers to learn how to create the resources that other teachers are finding so helpful.
My Mission
